Why you’re afraid of your own potential (and how to step into it)
Why You’re Afraid of Your Own Potential (And How to Finally Step Into It)
I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately.
Why is it so unusual to be inspired to reach your FULLEST potential?
Why do we hide from what we’re actually good at
Why do we give our question our strengths and praise others for their courage?
Why do we struggle to take action on achieving our goals?
And why do so many people never fully step into the version of themselves thats calling their name?
Instead of owning who we are, we hand it over.
From the youngest age, we’re rewarded for being passive.
Given a gold star for doing the right thing.
Praised by our teachers for sitting down when we’re told and falling in line.
Maintaining a sense of order.
To someone else’s standard*
And when we surface out of school to the world, we uncover the most devastating concept.
One that shakes us to our core.
Uprooting our identity.
The notion thats been implanted in us since we were old enough to speak:
If I create the least amount of tension for others and do as I’m told, I’ll be OK.
right.
Contrary to this, once we leave the structure of school and university, we’re smacked in the face with the opposite truth:
The more resistance and definace you take in pursuing what feels good, the better off you are.
You realise:
You’re actually punished for conforming.
In the way of: emptiness, loneliness and a sense of isoaltion with yourself.
You realise:
Life has a way of making you feel praised once you start boasting your individuality.
So now begins the process of uprooting everything you’ve been told to believe.
And navigating a new relationship with your authentic self.
But we fall to our habits not rise to our ideals.
It is easy to fall into the trap of: people pleasing, becoming more accessible to others, not rocking the boat.
And sooner or later we wake up 15 years into our senior years with a sense of disorientation and debilitating longing for a life calling to us from a distant mountain it seems, one that feels too late to access.
But all is not lost on our conditioning..
Before you even set out into the world your soul entered this lifeline you’re living with a unique cosmic blueprint.
Your birth chart.
Thinking about your birth chart is about as logical as looking at the blueprint before building a house.
It’s what your true identity is based upon.
Your birth chart lays out the most impoirtant elements of who you are, the deepest link to understanding your truth.
The way you think
How you feel when someone loves you
How you give love to others
The way others percieve you when you walk into a room
How you will get along with your mother in law
What causes your body to feel tense
How to unlock your shoulders and feel a sense of ease
How to start having access to limitless amounts of money
Not the life you think you should want
but the one that actually fits you
Get the picture? 😏
But other than the warm rosy things, our chart also reveals our biggest blocks..
The parts of you that you avoid
There are three key placements that explain a lot of this:
Your Lilith
your Chiron
and your Moon
Your Lilith shows the parts of you that you have pushed down
the sides of yourself that feel uncomfortable or too much or not acceptable
so instead of expressing them you hide them
Your Chiron shows your wounds
the parts of you that feel sensitive and exposed
the places where you have been hurt and where you often avoid looking
And your Moon shows your emotional world
how you feel things
what drives you
what actually moves you to take action
When you are disconnected from these parts of yourself everything can feel off
you hesitate you second guess you hold back
Your chart shows you the way
It shows you how you are wired
what works for you
what does not
and what kind of life will actually feel good for you to live
You start to see what has been getting in your way
You get the clarity so you can actually change it
An example
If you have Chiron in Sagittarius
You will feel a natural pull toward growth expansion and bigger experiences
Because Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter (the planet of growth expansion and biggness)*
Everday you will feel this HANKERING to want more out of life.
Which can be a positive thing no?
When channelled correctly.
However
There can also be a pattern of moving too quickly
Jumping from one thing to the next
Struggling to stay with something long enough because stability feels counterintutive.
So someone with chiron in sagittarius will end up with short bursts of excitement
But not always long term satisfaction
See once we have awareness of that pattern we work with it instead of being stuck in it.
What we look at in your chart
When we go through your chart we are not just looking at surface level traits
We look at your North Node and where your life is moving toward
your South Node and what you naturally fall back on
your Mercury and how you think and communicate
your Sun and the energy you bring into the world
We look at your Jupiter and where you expand and attract opportunities
your second house and your relationship with money
your seventh house and how you show up in relationships and business
your eighth house and your deeper transformations
And everything else that connects it all together
It gives you a full picture of who you are
So why not live your life as you
You already have access to this version of yourself
You already have the potential
The question is why are you not living it
Why keep holding back
Why keep waiting
Why keep giving your power away
You can live a life that feels like yours
one that feels aligned
one that you actually want to wake up to
That is available to you
